Hazard Tree Felling
CFI employs a team of trained and experienced directional fallers who have safely dropped thousands of complex and dangerous trees. This type of contracted service can be utilized to improve safety along trails and roadways, as well as adjacent campgrounds, infrastructure, residental and commercial improvements particulary after natural disaster such as a hurricane or when timber has been adversely impacted by insect and disease.
Forestry Thinning/Hazardous Fuels Reduction (HFR)
CFI has on hand multiple fuels reduction crews ready to respond nationwide to conduct hand thinning and piling forestry projects for the purpose of wildfire risk reduction and site preparation. Via a network of strategic partnerships, CFI is capable of providing a variety of medium duty and heavy duty equipment for fuels reduction purposes.
Defensible Space Clearing
Having the trained and experienced workforce available to safely complete defensible space clearing around residences and commercial structures in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI), after the planning process has been completed, is essential. CFI has the ability to mobilize crews of professionals capable of safely creating a defensible space surrounding a structure prior to a wildfire emergency occurring, including for WUI code compliance purposes.
Fireline/Fuelbreak Construction
CFI hand crews and mechanized equipment are available for nationwide dispatch to construct both firelines and fuelbreaks for prescribed burning and wildfire protection purposes.
